Setting up a gasfitting job in a home, commercial kitchen, plant room or on a site - the meter and isolation points, cylinder and tank positions, ignition control, occupants and setting out pipe routes and appliances.

Manual handling of LPG cylinders, appliances, hot water units, cooktops and ovens, pipe coils and lengths, tools and equipment across gasfitting works.

Installing consumer gas piping in copper, steel, polyethylene and multilayer systems - routes and sizing, supports and sleeves, penetrations and chasing, brazing, press, compression, threading and fusion joints, and protection.

Connecting consumer piping to the gas meter, regulator and service - meter position and ventilation, isolation, cutting in, purging, leak and pressure testing, commissioning the meter and the interface with the network's service.

Purging air and gas from consumer piping and appliances, leak testing with detection fluid and detectors, and pressure testing new and altered installations with the manometer or test kit to the gas installation standard.

Installing, commissioning and servicing gas appliances - cooktops, ovens, heaters, hot water units and boilers - location, ventilation and flues, burner pressure and combustion, carbon monoxide and spillage testing.
