Shotcrete (Civil Works)
Application of wet-mix sprayed concrete to excavated faces, walls and slopes, including pump operation, high-pressure line set-up, nozzle work, rebound management and curing.
Objective
Complete the work safely by controlling high-pressure line failure and hose whip, working under unstable faces, rebound strike, respirable silica and alkaline admixture burns through pressure relief before line work, whip restraints, face scaling, full PPE and water dust control.
This is the Civil Works version. The hazards and controls are written around civil works work, so it differs from the other 1 trade versions of Shotcrete. Compare all 2.

When you'd use this SWMS
If shotcrete (civil works) is part of your job, the builder or head contractor will usually want a SWMS for it before you start on site. This one's editable in Word. Add your company and site details, check the hazards and controls against the actual job, and get your crew to sign on before work starts.
Doing the whole trade? The Civil Works pack bundles this with the rest and works out cheaper. New to it? Here's what goes in a SWMS.
