Framing & Trusses (Timber - Steel) (Carpentry)
Erection of timber and steel wall frames and roof trusses - delivery and stacking, standing and bracing frames, craned truss installation, tie-down and steel-framing fix.
Objective
Erect frames and trusses safely by controlling the fatal hazards (truss & frame collapse before bracing, falls over 2 m, crane lifts) so nothing collapses and no one falls before the structure is braced and tied down.
This is the Carpentry version. The hazards and controls are written around carpentry work, so it differs from the other 2 trade versions of Framing & Trusses (Timber - Steel). Compare all 3.
Built by WHS professionals, written for your state

When you'd use this SWMS
If framing & trusses (timber - steel) (carpentry) is part of your job, the builder or head contractor will usually want a SWMS for it before you start on site. This one's editable in Word. Add your company and site details, check the hazards and controls against the actual job, and get your crew to sign on before work starts.
Doing the whole trade? The Carpentry pack bundles this with the rest and works out cheaper. New to it? Here's what goes in a SWMS.
