EWP Operations (Fire Services)

Operation of elevated work platforms including boom lifts, cherrypickers and scissor lifts for work at height, covering set-up, elevated work and stowing.

Objective

Complete the work safely by controlling tip-over, falls and ejection from the platform, crush between basket and structure and contact with overhead powerlines through ground assessment, harness use in boom EWPs, exclusion zones, crush protection and powerline clearances.

This is the Fire Services version. The hazards and controls are written around fire services work, so it differs from the other 14 trade versions of EWP Operations. Compare all 15.

When you'd use this SWMS
