Electrical Renovations (Shop Fitting)
Electrical work in existing and occupied premises under renovation - alterations, rewiring and switchboard upgrades - where legacy wiring must be proven dead, concealed services traced and presumed asbestos left undisturbed.
Objective
Complete the work safely by controlling electrocution, arc flash and asbestos exposure through isolation and proving dead, tracing of unknown wiring, asbestos presumption and licensed electrical work in occupied premises.
This is the Shop Fitting version. The hazards and controls are written around shop fitting work, so it differs from the other 3 trade versions of Electrical Renovations. Compare all 4.
Built by WHS professionals, written for your state
Every document is built by WHS professionals. Each state version references the Act, regulator, and requirements for the state you select. Victoria gets the OHS Act and WorkSafe Victoria, NSW gets the WHS Act and SafeWork NSW.

When you'd use this SWMS
If electrical renovations (shop fitting) is part of your job, the builder or head contractor will usually want a SWMS for it before you start on site. This one's editable in Word. Add your company and site details, check the hazards and controls against the actual job, and get your crew to sign on before work starts.
Doing the whole trade? The Shop Fitting pack bundles this with the rest and works out cheaper. New to it? Here's what goes in a SWMS.
