Entry into and work within confined spaces such as pits, tanks, chambers, pipes and vaults, including permits, atmosphere control, entry, the task and rescue.
Objective
Complete the work safely by controlling the confined space fatal hazards of toxic, flammable or oxygen-deficient atmospheres, engulfment, entrapment and rescuer death through entry permits, isolation and lockout, gas testing and continuous monitoring, ventilation, a dedicated standby person and a resourced rescue plan.
